As a Marine Hull Structural Draftsman with us, your primary responsibilities will include creating detailed 2D drawings and 3D models of ship structures such as hulls, decks, bulkheads, and foundations. You will be tasked with developing assembly and fabrication drawings for shipyards and contractors, as well as modifying and revising designs based on Engineering calculations and client feedback. Collaboration with Naval Architects and Structural Engineers will be a key aspect of your role. Additionally, you will be responsible for preparing material specifications, cutting lists, and bill of materials (BOM), reviewing and checking technical drawings for accuracy and completeness, and ensuring that all drawings meet shipbuilding and marine industry standards. It will also be your duty to maintain detailed records and documentation for project reference and coordinate with shipyards and suppliers to ensure the feasibility of structural designs. The selected candidate will undergo training for an initial period of six months. To qualify for this position, you must hold a minimum Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, along with 3 to 5 years of experience as a structural draftsman in the shipbuilding or marine industry.
