You will be responsible for leading a team of talented engineers in developing eLxr, a Debian derivative aimed at providing a new Edge to Core solution for Linux customers. Your role will be pivotal in shaping the direction of the eLxr Linux distribution and ensuring the delivery of a high-quality product that meets user needs. As an experienced leader, you will mentor and guide team members, make strategic decisions, and oversee the entire software development lifecycle. Collaboration with a collaborative and innovative team of engineers is crucial, who are passionate about Linux and open-source software. Transparency, open communication, and continuous learning are valued within the team, which has a proven track record of delivering impactful products. Your responsibilities will include technical leadership, project management, collaboration with cross-functional teams, risk management, quality assurance, and financial management. To be successful in this role, you should possess a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, along with 5+ years of experience in software development and team management, particularly focused on Linux. Strong technical knowledge of Linux and related technologies, leadership, communication, project management skills, and experience with Agile methodologies, CI/CD, and version control systems are essential. Additionally, familiarity with Debian packaging, cloud computing tools, and containerization technologies will be beneficial.
