Job Description

Key Responsibilities: Administer, monitor, and maintain SQL databases and related services (e.g., SQL database, SQL Managed Instance, Cosmos DB, and Oracle). Plan and implement database migrations to Azure from on-premises or other cloud providers or vise versa. Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and backup strategies are in place and tested regularly. Perform performance tuning and optimization using tools such as Query Store, DMVs, and Index tuning. Configure and manage security policies including role-based access control (RBAC), encryption, firewalls, and threat detection. Automate routine tasks using PowerShell, Azure CLI, Terraform or ARM templates. Collaborate with development and DevOps teams on database design, deployments, and CI/CD integration. Monitor system health and respond to alerts and incidents in a timely manner. Document all processes, configurations, and changes thoroughly.
