Role Description We’re seeking a skilled and self-driven QA Automation Engineer to take ownership of our automated testing initiatives and elevate our software quality standards. This role demands a sharp analytical mindset, a proactive approach, and the ability to work seamlessly across both frontend and backend systems. You’ll be instrumental in designing and maintaining Selenium-based test suites, identifying gaps in coverage, documenting issues thoroughly, and collaborating closely with product and engineering teams to boost system reliability and defect transparency. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver with frameworks like TestNG or JUnit Execute functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing across web and backend platforms Perform root cause analysis on defects and document findings clearly Conduct API testing using tools such as Postman or SoapUI Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps) Enhance test coverage, traceability, and defect visibility Support data validation to ensure consistent data quality across systems Advocate for and implement QA best practices across teams Required Qualifications Minimum 5 years of experience in QA roles with a strong focus on Selenium automation Proficiency in scripting with Java, Python, or similar languages Hands-on experience with API testing and working with large datasets Familiarity with test management tools like TestRail or Zephyr Solid understanding of SDLC, Agile methodologies, and CI/CD workflows Strong analytical and documentation skills Ability to work independently and manage tasks with minimal supervision
