Please find the job details below: Key Responsibilities: Welding & fabrication Tasks: Operate cutting tools and machinery such as gas cutting torches, angle grinders, shearing machines, and plasma cutters. Perform Weld Edge Preparation (WEP) using beveling machines, grinders, or manual methods as per standard practices. Assist in welding and fabrication during lab sessions and student projects. Set up welding stations and prepare materials for hands-on student activities. Maintain welding and cutting equipment in safe working condition. Support faculty during welding-related practical classes and evaluations. Fitting & Workshop Support: Instruct students on basic fitting operations: measuring, marking, cutting, drilling, and assembling metal parts. Demonstrate proper use of hand tools such as hacksaws, files, vices, punches, and drills. Guide students in operating machines and tools like power saws and drilling machines. Ensure that tools and equipment are available, functional, and safely stored. Monitor student performance and provide support during practical sessions. General Responsibilities: Ensure adherence to all lab and workshop safety protocols, including proper use of PPE and material handling procedures. Maintain records of material usage, tool inventory, equipment maintenance, and student attendance as required. Collaborate with academic staff to facilitate effective practical training and project support. Required Qualifications: Education: ITI certification in the relevant trade. Experience: 2–5 years of hands-on experience in welding, fitting, or fabrication in industrial or academic settings. Skills and Competencies: Proficient in cutting, welding, and fitting techniques. Skilled in using hand tools and workshop machinery. Knowledge of material types and welding/fitting compatibility. Familiar with interpreting basic technical drawings and workshop instructions. Strong understanding of workshop safety and preventive maintenance. Effective communication skills and ability to work with students and academic teams.
