The role of Senior Solutions Architect at Nokia is integral to the Technology and Services Portfolio team. You will be responsible for creating business cases and developing end-to-end designs for complex solutions. Your ability to understand stakeholder requirements and translate them into engineering deliverables will be crucial in designing effective solutions. From the initial conceptual phase to deployment, you will work closely with internal business teams as a trusted advisor. You will work closely and collaboratively with cross-functional teams on the implementation of enterprise cloud and data center products, services, and solutions. Additionally, you will identify and implement solutions to create business opportunities to expand and optimize Nokia's enterprise cloud and data center ecosystem. You will engage with internal teams, partners, and third-party vendors for detailed design discussions, prepare designs and documentation covering all aspects of a solution, and support project teams in reviewing project schedules and technical risks. Key Skills and Experience: - Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or related technical field of study. - Experience in a large enterprise environment (preferred). - Expert knowledge and hands-on experience with cloud service providers. - Google Professional Cloud Architect and Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification (preferred). - 10+ years of experience as an IT Solutions Architect, Systems Engineer, or a similar role. - Deep understanding of the latest technology solutions from partners and vendors. - Ability to stay ahead of industry trends and best practices. - Knowledge in cost optimization techniques and ways to automate for optimal footprint. Desired Skills: - Practical knowledge of automation, distributed systems, operations, security concepts, network concepts, database, cloud technologies, and data center management. - Ability to operate autonomously, take end-to-end ownership, and execute on multiple concurrent initiatives. - Experience with IT compliance and risk management requirements. - Experience with industry frameworks and methodologies including ITIL, Agile, Scrum, and DevOps. - Previous experience in AI Automation is a plus. The ideal candidate for this role will be responsible for people management and resource management, including individual contributors and 1st line managers. You must have a strong understanding of technical components of client-server relationships and experience in managing tough customer conversations. Additionally, hands-on experience with at least 2 Public Cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is required. You will be expected to manage multiple projects/programs, influence cross-functional contributors, and possess clear and concise written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with stakeholders. Building and maintaining relationships with internal departments will be crucial to enable cross-functional relationships. Analytical ability to establish baselines and deviation from baselines is also important. Your responsibilities will include managing and coordinating day-to-day activities of the Cloud Infrastructure and Cloud Automation teams in a global support model. This includes supporting the management of colocation data centers, AWS/Azure/GCP cloud environments, and automation platforms to ensure operational excellence. Providing guidance for resource management and operations coverage for 24x7 infrastructure hosting will be part of your role. You will also guide engineers in developing automation to provision and manage infrastructure resources in a diverse, hybrid cloud environment. Supporting the refinement and expansion of infrastructure health monitoring and incident response, as well as developing and growing the team through recruitment, trainings, challenging assignments, and rewards/recognition, are key responsibilities. Ensuring that teams follow established change, incident, and change management processes, as well as continuously recommending improvements to Cloud Operations processes, documentation, and tools, will be essential. Keeping up to date with organizational and technical knowledge required to perform the role is also expected. This role requires a seasoned, skilled, independent, self-motivated, and smart leader with experience in 24x7 mission-critical cloud infrastructure, operations, processes, tools, and best practices. Excellent communication skills, proven ability to lead, facilitate, and motivate teams, and 8+ years of experience in IT including 5+ years in a management/leadership position in a cloud-based organization are necessary. Significant practical experience managing or supporting large-scale on-prem and public cloud infrastructure, including AWS/Azure/GCP public cloud infrastructure, large on-prem data centers, servers, storage, VMware virtualization, configuration management, infrastructure automation platforms, and 24x7 support or administration of large-scale IT infrastructure operations are required. Good working knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems, virtualization, SQL and/or NoSQL databases, servers, storage, web servers, networking concepts, infrastructure security, and incident and change management processes in an agile environment is essential. Flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to deal with ambiguous situations on a consistent basis, as well as a strong work ethic, highly organized, and able to work independently with minimal supervision, are also important attributes for this role. Due to the 24x7x365 nature of cloud infrastructure operations, flexibility in work schedule and off-hours support may be required.,
