We are seeking an experienced PostgreSQL Database Developer to design, build, and scale robust data systems that drive innovation. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in schema design, query optimization, and data modeling, combined with hands-on experience in performance tuning and database security best practices. Key Responsibilities: Design and develop scalable, efficient PostgreSQL database schemas tailored to business needs. Optimize complex queries for performance and scalability. Conduct data modeling to support both OLTP and OLAP systems. Perform regular performance tuning and troubleshooting using relevant tools. Implement and maintain robust database security policies and practices. Collaborate closely with application developers and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality data solutions. Monitor database health and proactively address potential issues. Stay updated on PostgreSQL features, tools, and best practices to continuously improve database performance and security. Required Skills & Qualifications: 6 to 10 years of professional experience as a PostgreSQL Database Developer. Strong expertise in PostgreSQL schema design, query optimization, and data modeling. Proficiency with performance tuning tools and techniques specific to PostgreSQL. In-depth knowledge of database security principles and best practices. Experience in writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues efficiently. Familiarity with backup and recovery procedures, replication, and high availability setups. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with other relational databases and/or NoSQL systems. Familiarity with cloud database services (AWS RDS, Azure Database for PostgreSQL, etc.). Understanding of DevOps practices related to database deployments. Strong scripting skills (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation tasks.
