We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented SQL Server Database Administrator (DBA) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the implementation, configuration, maintenance, and performance of critical SQL Server systems, ensuring the availability and consistent performance of our applications. Key Responsibilities : - Install, configure, and maintain SQL Server instances (on-premises and/or cloud). - Monitor database performance, implement changes, and apply new patches and versions when required. - Perform database backups, restores, and recovery. - Manage SQL Server security (authentication, permissions, roles). - Optimize SQL queries and indexes for better performance. - Troubleshoot database-related issues including system outages and performance bottlenecks. - Implement high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) solutions. - Automate repetitive DBA tasks using T-SQL, PowerShell, or other tools. - Perform capacity planning and storage management. - Create and maintain technical documentation and SOPs. - Collaborate with development and support teams on database-related issues and projects. Required Skills And Qualifications : - Proven experience as a SQL Server DBA (SQL Server 2012/2016/2019/2022). - Strong proficiency in T-SQL and SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS). - Experience with backup, restore, and recovery models. - Knowledge of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for SQL Server. - Experience with monitoring tools like SQL Profiler, Extended Events, and third-party solutions (e. SolarWinds, Redgate). - Familiarity with performance tuning and optimization (PTO). - Experience working with Azure SQL Database, SQL Managed Instance, or AWS RDS is a plus. - Ability to handle multiple projects and priorities. - Strong communication and documentation skills. Preferred Qualifications : - Microsoft Certified : Azure Database Administrator Associate or similar certification. - Experience with SSIS, SSRS, and SSAS. - Knowledge of DevOps processes and CI/CD pipelines for database code deployment. - Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
