Database Engineer - Oracle

We are seeking a skilled Database Engineer with expertise in Oracle databases to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining database systems to support our business objectives with a focus on complex queries and performance optimization. Collaborating with a team of software engineers, you will contribute to the development and maintenance of our Equity Management SaaS Application. Your responsibilities will include implementing new features, enhancements, and fixes, as well as actively participating in sprint planning, refinement, and retrospective meetings. As a Database Engineer, you will work within a product team following an Agile SDLC to create and maintain products using technologies such as C#, .Net, Angular, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Oracle PL/SQL. Your commitment to quality development practices and continuous learning will be key to your success in this role. Responsibilities: - Design and implement robust, scalable database solutions using Oracle - Write and optimize complex SQL queries for efficiency and scalability - Perform database tuning, monitoring, and optimization for performance, availability, and security - Develop database architectures, coding standards, and quality assurance procedures - Analyze existing systems, propose improvements, and collaborate with stakeholders - Provide support for database issues and ensure timely resolution - Lead the execution of feature development and bug fixes with clean, reusable code - Conduct code reviews, design discussions, and stay updated on database trends and technologies Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience - 6+ years of experience with large-scale relational databases like Oracle/SQL Server - 3+ years of design and development experience in Oracle databases and PL/SQL - Proficiency in SQL, database management, logical and physical data models - Strong skills in database querying, manipulation, optimization, and performance tuning - Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and mentoring abilities - Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies, GIT, and strong communication skills Preferred Skills: - Experience in financial domain app development - Familiarity with .Net, Angular web applications - Knowledge of data warehousing, ETL processes, and cloud services like AWS, Azure, Oracle Cloud If you meet these qualifications and are passionate about database engineering, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity to contribute to our innovative products.,
