The ideal candidate for the position should possess 10-14 years of experience in software development/engineering with a focus on Debezium/Confluent and Kafka, ETL tools, database architectures, and data replication. As a Software Development Engineer, you will be based in Bangalore and will be responsible for architecting, developing, designing, and maintaining Debezium/Kafka/Snowflake-based replication solutions for a large ERP system. In addition, you will develop custom connectors to integrate with multiple platforms and demonstrate expertise in Snowflake internals, integrating Snowflake with other technologies for data processing and reporting. Your key responsibilities will include designing and implementing Kafka-based messaging systems to stream data in real-time to Snowflake, troubleshooting and resolving data-related issues such as performance bottlenecks and data quality problems, as well as responding promptly to production incidents and service interruptions. You will be expected to implement monitoring tools and metrics to track the performance and health of data replications, analyze system logs and metrics to proactively identify issues, optimize resource utilization, and improve overall system efficiency. Furthermore, you will take ownership of complex technical challenges and drive them to successful resolution. To be successful in this role, you should have a minimum of 7 years of experience in data engineering, replication, and ETL tools, with at least 4 years of experience with Debezium/Confluent and Kafka-based solutions preferred. You should possess a strong understanding of database architectures, database administration (Oracle and SQL Server), and database activities impacting replication and data replication. Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing data replication strategies using Debezium/Kafka/Snowflake or a similar technology stack is essential for this role.
