Description
You are a highly skilled and detail-oriented Database Architect specializing in MS SQL Server with over 5 years of hands-on experience. Your primary responsibility will be to lead the design, development, optimization, and maintenance of robust and scalable database solutions. In this role, you will define database architecture and standards, provide support to development teams, and ensure high performance, data integrity, and availability across SQL Server environments. Your key responsibilities will include architecting, designing, and implementing secure and scalable database solutions using Microsoft SQL Server. You will support software developers by creating complex T-SQL scripts, optimizing DML operations, and developing stored procedures. Furthermore, you will be tasked with maintaining high-performance queries, views, triggers, and user-defined functions. Your expertise will be crucial in analyzing and optimizing existing SQL queries for enhanced performance and resource efficiency. Collaboration will be a key aspect of your role as you work closely with application developers, product managers, and DevOps teams to align data architecture with business and technical requirements. Additionally, you will monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot database systems to ensure optimal performance and uptime. Your responsibilities will also include designing and implementing solutions for database backup, restoration, migration, and replication. To excel in this role, you must possess at least 5 years of proven experience in SQL Server database development and administration. A strong command of T-SQL programming, query optimization techniques, and deep understanding of database design principles, normalization, and data modeling are essential. Experience with high availability and disaster recovery strategies, indexes, constraints, triggers, and performance tuning tools is required. Familiarity with SQL Server Agent, SSIS, and automation of routine tasks is also beneficial. Your ability to enforce data integrity, access control, and user permission strategies across all environments is critical. You should be adept at creating and managing constraints, indexes, and partitioning to support performance at scale. Additionally, documenting database architecture, configurations, and best practices, as well as planning and executing database upgrades, version control, and migration strategies are vital aspects of the role. Preferred qualifications for this position include a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field. Microsoft certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate or equivalent are advantageous. Experience with cloud-based SQL Server instances (Azure or AWS) and exposure to DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, or Infrastructure as Code tools are also desirable. If you are seeking a challenging opportunity to showcase your expertise in database architecture and SQL Server administration, this position at Becker Alliance may be the perfect fit for you.,
