Database Architect

As a Database Engineer at BrainVault Technologies, you will play a crucial role in designing and building data strategies for MySQL and MongoDB services within the AWS platform in multiple regions. Your responsibilities will include: - Ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and availability. - Implementing strategies to enhance data quality and efficiency. - Optimizing query performance and troubleshooting complex database issues. - Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve data quality issues. - Setting configuration standards for MySQL and MongoDB database services. - Addressing escalated database infrastructure issues and monitoring components for performance, capacity, failures, and uptime. - Utilizing programming languages such as PHP and Javascript to understand data usage and types. - Leading database migration projects and version upgrades. - Working within specified time frames following change management processes to maximize uptime. - Adhering to security policies and working with audit teams. - Researching and remediating system vulnerabilities. - Professionally representing the Database team as a technical consultant on projects. - Maintaining documentation of all database infrastructure, scheduled jobs, code builds, and modifications. - Participating in on-call duties. To excel in this role, you will need: - Extensive experience with Data Architecture, Data Engineering, and workflow management using MySQL and MongoDB services. - Extensive experience with AWS Aurora RDS services. - Working knowledge of PostgreSQL. - Experience with PHP and Python. - Expertise in crafting advanced MySQL queries and optimizing database performance. - Extensive experience in ETL processes for seamless data movement. - Familiarity with processing and analyzing large datasets. - Experience with database monitoring tools and capacity management. - Knowledge of ETL and reporting services. - Previous experience operating in an Agile-based SDLC environment. - A desire to iterate and continuously improve the environment. - Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-velocity environment. - A minimum of 5 years of related experience with a bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience. - Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
