Role Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Database Administrator (DBA) with strong experience in managing and optimizing databases in both cloud and on-premises environments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, and cloud platforms like AWS, with a solid track record of managing high-availability, secure, and scalable data environments. Must-Have Skills Strong experience with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis In-depth knowledge of cloud database technologies , particularly AWS Expertise in replication , clustering , and partitioning Strong command over SQL query tuning , code review , and schema design Experience in managing cloud and on-premise database infrastructure Proficient in backup & recovery , security , and performance tuning Hands-on knowledge of monitoring & alerting tools Excellent problem-solving and communication skills Roles & Responsibilities Install and upgrade PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis databases in public/private cloud and on-premise environments. Collaborate on schema design , perform code reviews , and fine-tune SQL queries . Manage data backups and recovery strategies . Diagnose and resolve database-related issues and errors . Apply patches and keep databases updated and secure. Manage user access and permissions for databases. Perform database performance tuning and implement security best practices . Define, set, and enforce database standards and guidelines . Research and implement emerging database technologies and tools. Set up and maintain monitoring and alerting for database health and performance. Design and maintain High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions. Automate recurring database tasks to improve efficiency. Work on Kafka streaming and set up BI/reporting platforms .
