Database Administrator

As a Database Administrator, you will be responsible for various aspects of database management including data modeling, database design, schema creation, performance management, SQL coding, procedural skills, data security, capacity planning, housekeeping, and maintenance. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient functioning of the database environment and the optimization of performance. Your primary responsibilities will include translating logical data models into physical database implementations, managing database schemas, monitoring performance, tuning data structures, SQL, and application logic for optimization. You will also be involved in designing, debugging, implementing, and maintaining stored procedures, triggers, and user-defined functions within the DBMS. In addition, you will be responsible for implementing rigorous security measures for production and test databases, as well as predicting growth patterns based on application and data usage to make necessary database changes for accommodating growth. Your role will also involve the installation, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of enterprise databases to ensure optimal performance, security, and availability. The ideal candidate for this role should have 5+ years of experience in database administration, with proficiency in SQL, MY SQL, MS SQL, database programming, and database development. A Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field is required for this position. Experience in cyber security will be considered an added advantage for this role. The preferred notice period for joiners is immediate to 15-20 days, and the location of the position is Mumbai with Work From Office (WFO) arrangement. The interview process will consist of a video screening with HR, followed by a technical interview (L1) and a combined technical and HR round (L2).
