DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR (DBA)

As a professional Database Administrator (DBA), you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the database 24/7 to enable a seamless flow of information across the company. Your key responsibilities will include: - Building database systems with high availability and quality tailored to each end user's specialized role. - Designing and implementing databases based on end users" information needs and perspectives. - Defining users and facilitating data distribution to the appropriate user in a timely and suitable format. - Implementing high-speed transaction recovery techniques and ensuring data backup. - Minimizing database downtime and optimizing parameters for quick query responses. - Offering proactive and reactive support for data management and providing training to users. - Enforcing database policies, procedures, and standards while documenting them. - Conducting regular tests and evaluations to uphold data security, privacy, and integrity. - Monitoring database performance, making necessary changes, and applying patches and updates when needed. To qualify for this role, you should meet the following criteria: - Proven working experience as a Database Administrator. - Hands-on experience with database standards and end-user applications. - Excellent knowledge of data backup, recovery, security, integrity, and SQL. - Familiarity with database design, documentation, and coding. - Previous exposure to DBA case tools (frontend/backend) and third-party tools. - Understanding of programming languages API. - Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think algorithmically. - A BS degree in a computer discipline or relevant certification.
