Data Test Engineer

Position:

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform

  ETL data testing

  across Hadoop and traditional Data Warehouse platforms (Teradata/Informatica).
• Design and execute

  test cases, test plans, and test scripts

  for validating data ingestion, transformation, and loading processes.
• Work with

  large datasets in Hadoop ecosystem

  , ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
• Write and optimize

  SQL and HQL queries

  to validate transformations and business rules.
• Collaborate with development and business teams to understand requirements and provide testing solutions.
  
• Identify, analyze, and document

  defects/issues

  and work closely with the development team to resolve them.
• Support

  automation testing initiatives

  to improve efficiency and accuracy in validation.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Minimum 6

  years of experience in ETL Data Testing

  .
• Strong working knowledge of

  Hadoop, Teradata, and Informatica

  .
• Proficiency in

  SQL/HQL

  for complex query writing and validation.

• Basic Python development knowledge

  is mandatory.
• Experience in

  automation testing

  is an added advantage.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment.
  

Good to Have:

• Exposure to

  Big Data testing frameworks and automation tools

• Knowledge of

  data pipelines, data lakes, and BI/reporting tools
