Business Development Intern – Solar Panel Installations (with Govt. Subsidy Awareness) Location: Chennai | Industry: Renewable Energy | Internship Type: Business Development / Lead Generation Company Overview: We are a fast-growing solar energy solutions provider in Chennai, specializing in residential, commercial, and industrial solar panel installations . We are also a Central Government-approved vendor , helping customers avail up to ₹78,000 in subsidy for installations up to 3kW under the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana scheme. Role Overview: We’re seeking motivated and energetic Business Development Interns who are passionate about clean energy and skilled in generating leads through field marketing, digital outreach, and customer interaction . Your main responsibility will be to promote solar panel installations and government subsidy benefits to potential clients across Chennai and nearby regions. Key Responsibilities: Promote solar energy solutions and government subsidy offers to homeowners, housing societies, small businesses, and industries. Generate qualified leads via door-to-door campaigns , WhatsApp marketing , flyer distribution , field events , and social media promotions . Explain the benefits of rooftop solar , system sizing, cost savings, and EMI/subsidy options to potential customers. Collaborate with the technical and sales team to schedule site visits and consultations . Collect customer data and feedback, and maintain accurate lead reports for follow-up. Assist in local promotional activities such as setting up info booths at apartment complexes or exhibitions. Ideal Candidate: Passionate about renewable energy and client communication . Strong interest in sales, marketing, or public outreach . Excellent spoken communication in Tamil and basic English . Willingness to travel locally within Chennai and visit customer locations. Basic knowledge of solar energy and govt. subsidies is a plus (training will be provided). Students or recent graduates in Marketing, Engineering, or Business preferred.
