Role & responsibilities The Role: An experienced Mechanical Engineer required with knowledge in valve/pump related products. Essential Functions: Understanding the Datasheet of the orders thoroughly. Preparing the BOM for the orders in GP with the help of the Parts list xl sheet of the product. Allocating the corresponding Manufacturing drawings for the BOM. Checking the BOM and drawings for correctness as per the Datasheet requirements. Preparing the supplementary requirements sheet for special requirements for the order if required. Calculating the weight needed for the weight loaded Valves. Submitting the copy of BOM and supplementary requirements sheet to the Engineering Manager for review. Releasing the BOM to prepare the MO. Discuss with the Manager for special requirements requested in the Datasheet and if required, Preparing the 2D drawings for the parts related to the order from the 3D models. Preparing new 2D drawings and revising the existing drawings in Inventor for the drawings Standardization. Check all the drawings both 2D and 3D thoroughly to adhere the design guidelines and standards. (Like Title block templates, drawing standard templates, scales, dimensioning, special notes, etc). Submitting the drawing to the Engineering Manager for checking and implementing the corrections and finalizing the drawing. Preparing GA drawings for the orders in Inventor based on the Data sheet Input. Creation of new Part numbers in GP as per the Material requirements needed in the drawings and also Engineering Manager request. Delivering the Drawings and BOM for Manufacturing the Product on time Preparing 3D Models of the Stream-D Product from existing 3D Assembly model for CFD Analysis. And Co-ordinate with the CFD engineer to get the flow results of the product. Deliverables: ECN, Manufacturing drawings, Sales Drawings, BOMs, Supplemenatary requirement sheet, 3D models. Preferred candidate profile Desirable - Degree in Mechanical Engineering Proficiency in parametric 3D Modelling (Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks, Catia, Pro-E or equivalent) essential. Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D) or SolidWorks DraftSight or equivalent essential. Looking for 5+ years of relevant experience in valve or pump related products desirable.
