As a Data Scientist at our company, you will play a crucial role in understanding and solving business problems by utilizing your expertise in data science. Your responsibilities will include engaging with customer stakeholders to grasp business challenges, determining suitable data science methodologies, and identifying necessary data sources for project implementation. You will be tasked with conducting thorough Data Quality (DQ) checks, documenting issues, and communicating effectively with customers regarding data-related barriers. Your role will involve generating hypotheses, performing exploratory analyses, and presenting findings to clients in a compelling manner that highlights the business value. Utilizing a variety of learning algorithms, you will drive analytical modeling initiatives, assess model outputs objectively, and ensure the deployment of impactful analytical models into production. Additionally, you will be responsible for selecting appropriate data technologies, leading data pipelining efforts, and orchestrating data and machine learning solutions using cloud services. Your contributions will extend to promoting continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices in model deployment, ensuring effective customer communication, maintaining coding standards, and fostering a culture of best practices within the team. Moreover, you will lead by example in documenting project details via tools like Confluence and JIRA, as well as authoring technical blogs to showcase the team's achievements internally and externally. To excel in this role, you should hold a BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Math, Physics, Engineering, Statistics, or a related quantitative field. Your proficiency in regression, classification, and cluster analysis, along with a strong grasp of statistical concepts, will be vital. Expertise in Python, R, and SQL programming languages, coupled with experience in data visualization tools and libraries, will further enhance your capabilities as a Data Scientist. Your personal attributes, including strong communication skills, teamwork, self-motivation, and process orientation, will be key in driving projects to successful completion with minimal supervision. While previous experience with machine learning algorithms, cloud platforms, and distributed computing is advantageous, a passion for leveraging data to derive actionable insights is essential for this role. Desirable qualifications such as an M.S. degree, expertise in deploying models on cloud platforms, and knowledge of NoSQL databases and deep learning technologies will be beneficial.
