Data Scientist (Work from Office from Gurgaon- 5 days)

We are seeking a skilled data scientist to join our team. The ideal candidate should have experience working with large data sets, using statistical, generative AI  and machine learning techniques to extract insights, automate processes and build predictive models. The candidate should be able to work independently and be adept at problem solving.

Role & responsibilities

• Contribute to digital transformation of Aircraft Engineering through aircraft health monitoring, predictive maintenance, performance monitoring, defect analytics, etc. with the objective of optimizing TAT, fuel consumption or maintenance cost
• Fine-tune, deploy, and optimize transformer-based models for knowledge retrieval, summarization and workflow automation tasks
• Use natural language processing for parsing, querying, and extracting insights from complex domain-specific texts such as aircraft maintenance manuals
• Develop predictive models using statistical and machine learning techniques
• Conduct hypothesis testing and experimentation to validate models, by working in close coordination with Airline Engineering department 
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to monitor performance of implemented models & applications
• Develop and maintain data pipelines and dashboards for tracking key performance metrics
• Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders through visualizations, presentations, and reports

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelors or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field
• 2-5 years of experience as a Data Scientist
• Expertise in complete data science pipeline - data acquisition, exploratory data analysis, feature engineering, modelling, generation of insights and visualizations, and monitoring
• Strong grasp of prompt engineering, RAG techniques, and vector database integration for context-aware recommendations
• Familiarity with entity recognition, relation extraction, and building agentic frameworks using MCP and tools like LangChain to automate workflows is strongly desired
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python/SQL. Experience with Airbus Skywise, Azure or PySpark would be a plus
