Data Scientist (Mechanical Engineer)

As a Data Scientist at Expro, your role will involve providing support for Group Engineering development and operational activities by analyzing physics with Expro's solutions and defining mathematical and algorithmic solutions effectively. You will play a crucial part in developing algorithmic solutions to support various product lines, ensuring reliable data and results for service delivery and performance prediction for client jobs. Key Responsibilities: - Develop algorithmic solutions using proven data science techniques for Expro's product lines - Provide mathematical and algorithmic support to software and firmware development teams - Work on algorithmic solutions for large datasets collected from IoT electronic sensing systems - Contribute to generating intellectual property and authoring patents to enhance Expro's systems" performance and commercial position - Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to develop and validate models - Ensure comprehensive documentation of projects and accessible archived information - Comply with the quality management system requirements and assist in developing written procedures for analytical activities - Utilize skills in C#, Python, Multiphysics modeling, analysis of environmental sensor data, fluid dynamics modeling, or chemical analysis - Prioritize safety and adherence to Expro HSE procedures at all times Qualifications Required: - Degree in Physics, Engineering, or Mathematics with experience in developing algorithms for modeling real-world behavior of large data sets from IoT sensor systems - Proficiency in deriving algorithmic solutions and applying advanced data science techniques to real-world physics and data - Experience in supporting multidisciplinary engineering development teams with modeling and data analysis - Desirable background in fluid analytics or acoustic analysis - Familiarity with developing visual representations of complex dynamic multivariate data sets for real-time analysis from IoT-based systems In addition to the technical aspects of the role, you will report directly to the Engineering Manager and collaborate with specialist disciplines within Group Engineering and Product Lines to ensure the successful delivery of Expro's services based on mathematical models and modeling analysis.
