Data Scientist + Junior Instructor

**Job Description:** **Role Overview:** You will be responsible for teaching Applied AI/ML courses, developing industry-relevant curriculum, mentoring student projects, guiding and mentoring students, staying updated on the latest AI/ML trends, collaborating with faculty, and assessing practical skills. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design and deliver practical, project-based courses in AI/ML, including Python for ML, Statistics, ML Algorithms, Deep Learning, NLP, CV, ML Ops, and GenAI. - Help design and update the AI/ML curriculum to incorporate current industry tools and best practices. - Guide students through hands-on AI/ML projects, provide technical direction, code reviews, and feedback. - Advise students on developing practical skills, understanding career paths, and preparing for internships and job placements. - Stay updated on the latest AI/ML research, tools, and industry trends. - Work closely with other faculty and staff to create an effective learning experience. - Design and evaluate assignments, projects, and assessments focused on real-world applications. **Qualifications Required:** - Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, AI/ML, or related field. PhD is valued but not mandatory. - 3-6 years of hands-on professional experience in AI/ML development and deployment. - Demonstrated experience in building, training, and deploying machine learning models for real-world problems. - Strong understanding of core ML algorithms, model evaluation, statistics, and current research/industry trends. - Passion for teaching and mentoring with prior relevant experience. - Expert-level Python programming skills, proficiency in data science libraries, ML/DL frameworks, SQL, ML Ops practices, and key AI areas. - Strong communication, mentoring ability, collaboration skills, and a genuine passion for education. **Additional Details:** Newton School is on a mission to redefine tech education in India.
