Data Scientist + Associate Instructor - AI/ML

**Job Description:** You are required to teach Applied AI/ML at Newton School, which includes designing and delivering practical, project-based courses in AI/ML such as Python for ML, Statistics, ML Algorithms, Deep Learning, NLP, CV, ML Ops, GenAI. Additionally, you will be responsible for developing industry-relevant curriculum, mentoring student projects, guiding and mentoring students on practical skills and career paths in AI/ML, staying updated on the latest AI/ML trends, collaborating with other industry-expert faculty, assessing practical skills, and creating assignments and assessments focused on practical application and understanding. **Key Responsibilities:** - Teach Applied AI/ML courses - Develop industry-relevant curriculum - Mentor student projects - Guide & mentor students - Stay current with AI/ML trends - Collaborate with faculty and staff - Assess practical skills **Required Qualifications & Experience:** - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, AI/ML, or similar field - Minimum 2-5 years of hands-on experience in the tech industry as an AI/ML Engineer, Data Scientist, Research Scientist, or similar role - Proven industry track record in building, training, and deploying machine learning models - Deep understanding of core ML algorithms, model evaluation, statistics, and current industry trends - Passion for teaching and mentoring - Experience in corporate training or mentoring **Required Skills:** - Expert-level Python programming - Proficiency in data science libraries (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn) - Hands-on experience with ML/DL frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch) - Strong SQL and data handling skills - Understanding of ML Ops practices and tools - Knowledge of key AI areas (NLP, Computer Vision, Generative AI/LLMs) - Excellent communication and mentoring skills - Team-oriented approach - Genuine interest in education and student success **Good-to-Have:** - Prior teaching experience - Familiarity with modern teaching methodologies **About Uplers:** Uplers aims to make hiring reliable, simple, and fast, supporting talents in finding and applying for relevant contractual onsite opportunities to progress in their careers.
