Data Science Intern - Computer Vision

We are looking for a Data Science Intern with a passion for Computer Vision to delve into and implement cutting-edge models. The perfect candidate should possess the ability to dissect intricate tasks, enhance models, and adjust swiftly to a dynamic environment. Effective communication skills are crucial for teaming up with mentors and colleagues. An emphasis on producing clean code and upholding detailed documentation is highly appreciated. Key Responsibilities: Build, fine-tune, and optimize computer vision models for tasks such as object detection, segmentation, and OCR utilizing TensorFlow/PyTorch. Develop data preprocessing pipelines with OpenCV and NumPy to enhance model performance. Investigate transfer learning methods to tailor pre-trained models for specific use cases. Collaborate with teams to incorporate AI models into applications using Streamlit or Flask. Engage in end-to-end projects, starting from prototyping to deploying solutions through Docker. Perform experiments to evaluate model performance and record findings. Contribute to version-controlled codebases using Git to ensure organized and effective development. Keep abreast of deep learning advancements like YOLO progressions and transformer-based architectures. Required Skill: Proficiency in Python with hands-on experience in OpenCV, NumPy, and deep learning frameworks like TensorFlow/PyTorch. Basic comprehension of linear algebra principles, including vectors and matrices, for image manipulations. Exposure to deep learning architectures, particularly CNNs, for image categorization. Familiarity with advanced Computer Vision techniques such as Transfer Learning, YOLO, OCR, or segmentation is advantageous. Experience in model deployment, lightweight web applications (Streamlit/Flask), or Docker is beneficial. Basic understanding of version control tools like Git is a plus.
