Job Summary: Lead Automation QA - Data Migration SMDB The Role: We are seeking an experienced Lead Automation QA to take ownership of the testing strategy and automation framework for a highly complex brownfield data migration project. You will play a crucial role in ensuring data integrity, system performance, and functional stability as we migrate legacy platform to a new target architecture. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Lead the QA strategy for data and platform modernization/conversion/migration projects, ensuring high quality throughout the migration lifecycle. Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test strategies and plans for data and platform modernization/conversion/ migration. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and define test cases. Oversee end-to-end automated testing processes, including performance, regression, and validation testing for migrated data, processes and other functionality. Act as the primary point of contact for QA-related communication with stakeholders and clients. Mentor and develop junior QA team members, fostering best practices in testing and quality assurance. Requirements: Strong expertise in UI & API automation testing (Selenium, Playwright, REST Assured, Postman). Deep understanding of SQL and data validation techniques for structured and unstructured data. Experience in ETL testing, data reconciliation, and working with large datasets. Proven experience leading QA efforts on data and platform modernization/conversion/migration projects. Strong expertise in automated testing frameworks and tools. Experience with tools such as Selenium, JMeter, or equivalent for API and web testing. Knowledge of cloud platforms - Azure and containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes). Deep understanding of data and platform modernization/conversion/migration best practices and methodologies. Strong knowledge of ETL processes and data integration. Experience with data governance and data quality frameworks. Ability to define quality metrics and reporting for data migration initiatives. Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail. Exceptional communication skills to liaise effectively with stakeholders across technical and non-technical teams. Experience working in Agile environments and familiarity with DevOps practices. Experience in one or more of FX, Energy Trading, Commodities, Market Data, Investment Banking, or FinTech.
