Data Migration expert

Job Scope:

• Plan and perform end-to-end data migrations between on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments.
• Utilize tools such as Carbonite (including Carbonite Migrate and Carbonite Availability) to execute migrations with minimal downtime and risk.
• Conduct detailed pre-migration assessments and develop migration strategies and runbooks.
• Monitor data migration processes, troubleshoot failures, and ensure data integrity and consistency.
• Collaborate with storage, network, and server teams to ensure environment readiness.
• Develop scripts and automation routines (using PowerShell, Python, etc.) to optimize migration processes where applicable.
• Document all migration activities, including architecture diagrams, configuration changes, and validation reports.
• Provide post-migration support to address any residual issues and ensure successful cutover.

• Proven experience with data migration tools like Carbonite, Double-Take, Zerto, or similar platforms.
• Understanding of storage technologies (SAN, NAS, Object Storage) and data protection principles.
• Strong knowledge of network protocols, storage replication, and failover strategies.
• Commitment to maintaining a secure and resilient IT infrastructure.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 3+ years of relevant experience on Migration and migration tools
• Certifications in relevant areas will have added advantage
