Responsibilities: You will be responsible for analyzing spatial data obtained from various vendors to determine the dataset that meets client requirements. By evaluating the spatial data, you will assess whether the vendor data provides an advantage to client maps or introduces new records. Your role will involve analyzing the data and providing recommendations to clients on whether to proceed with or reject the data from the vendor. Requirements: To be successful in this role, you should have at least 5 years of previous experience in a similar role or industry. You should have a strong understanding of GIS map components and terminology, as well as the ability to work with geographical information systems (GIS) to visualize, model, and analyze linear and non-linear features. Experience with systematization of rendering and visualization techniques, vector data, GIS navigation projects, and knowledge of Javascript and SQL would be advantageous. You should be proficient in preparing, converting, and extracting GIS data and shape files. Familiarity with software such as FME, ArcGIS, QGIS, and AutoCAD is preferred but not mandatory. Additionally, you should have the ability to diagnose gaps in existing processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement initiatives to meet client and internal commitments consistently. As part of your responsibilities, you will need to QA with an understanding of mapping processes like POIs, AOIs, and linear features. You will be required to assess search results in the Maps/GIS domain, participate in transition teams, coordinate training for team members, ensure process compliance, and perform tasks such as downloading files using Postman, preprocessing vendor data, uploading files to server and remote locations, and creating configurations for datasets. Your role will also involve performing in-depth data analysis using regular expressions, analyzing results of geocoding, reverse geocoding, and data matching, as well as creating reports and subreports using SQL-based tools.
