Job Title: Senior QA Automation Tester (Python) | Strong Networking (L2/L3 Protocols) | Automation & Support Location: Bangalore (Onsite) Experience: 5 to 12 years Job Type: Contract (Minimum 1 Year) Industry: IT Services / Software Functional Area: QA & Testing / Automation Employment Type: Full-Time, Contractual Role Category: QA/Testing/Automation About the Role: We are seeking an experienced QA Automation Tester with strong skills in Python and deep networking knowledge, particularly in L2/L3 protocols, to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 5-12 years of experience in automation testing and hands-on experience with network protocols. Key Responsibilities: Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using Python-based frameworks to ensure software quality. Perform extensive testing across functional, regression, integration, and performance domains. Utilize strong networking knowledge of Layer 2 (Data Link) and Layer 3 (Network) protocols such as Ethernet, VLAN, STP, IP, OSPF, BGP , and related technologies to validate network functionality. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, network engineers, and product managers. Analyze network traffic and system logs to detect issues impacting software/network interaction. Document test plans, test cases, and defect reports accurately. Required Skills & Qualifications: Experience in QA automation testing with strong Python programming skills. In-depth knowledge of networking protocols, specifically Layer 2 (Ethernet, VLAN, STP) and Layer 3 (IP, OSPF, BGP). Hands-on experience in troubleshooting and resolving network-related issues. Familiarity with automation tools such as Selenium, PyTest, Robot Framework, or similar. Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins and version control systems like Git. Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC and QA methodologies . Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Preferred: Networking certifications (CCNA, CCNP , or equivalent). Experience with network automation and cloud technologies. Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes). Test automation certifications or training.
