Role & responsibilities The MDM Senior Team Lead working from GCC is expected to work closely with the Business Data Owners, Business IT and Group IT Organizations to operate and improve upon the "Enterprise Master Data Management" as per the SOP and provide it as a service back to all BUs in the group. This position will support operational activities such as Creation, Modification, Extension etc of Master data. Also, tasks such as monitoring and analysing of master data, identifying gaps in the key data elements and taking actions proactively to have the data corrected, completed on concurrency and consistent basis are expected. Responsibility* Master Data Life Cycle: • To ensure Master data creation / modification requests are performed through the designated systems in a controlled manner adhering to the established SOPs. This includes Masters related to Finished / Semi Finished Goods, Purchase Materials, Equipment & Task Lists, Vendors, Customers, Services and Chart of Accounts. • To manage a team of Data stewards who perform the MDM tasks as per the established SOPs • To assist in the application and implementation procedures of data standards and guideline on data ownership, data structures, and data replication to ensure access to and integrity of master data sets. • To partner with business units leadership and process experts to resolve master data issues when they arise. • To assist entities in data migration activities, UATs and system checks during ERP upgrades like S4/HANA implementations. Master Data Analysis: • To ensure master data integrity in key systems as well as maintaining the processes to support the data quality. • To identify areas for data quality improvements and help to resolve data quality problems through the appropriate choice of error detection and correction, process control and improvement, or process design strategies. • To ensure quality of master data in key systems, as well as, development and documentation of processes with other functional data owners to support ongoing maintenance and data integrity. • In collaboration with subject matter experts and data stewards, define and implement data strategy, policies, controls, and programs to ensure the enterprise data is accurate, complete, secure, and reliable. Master Data Governance : • To manage GCCS in-house Master Data Governance Tool as a front end interface between users and ERP to ensure system imposed controls and monitoring in MDM tas. • To manage and monitor BI Dashboard to keep track of KPIs and SLAs • To develop and implement strategies to translate business requirements and models into feasible and acceptable data designs to ensure that business needs are met. • To support the business with required procedures, submit incidents and change requests when needed Note: Please refer to the picklist master; the values should be taken from that picklist. 1. We work closely with a wide range of Technology and Change teams across the enterprise to embed the right data governance operating models, tools and data architecture into the CFO business that will help us to advance on our data journey. We partner with data role holders across CFO, and the wider enterprise, to understand and catalogue our metadata, and improve data management, quality and accessibility, as key foundations for improving visualisation and AI capabilities. We work with the CFO business to understand data challenges, as well as opportunities, and support them to develop lasting solutions. We own the Finance Ledger master data including the Chart of Accounts, hierarchies and mappings, and partner with the CFO business to manage and maintain these in line with organisational change. About your role FIL has implemented Core Finance Platform (CFP) based upon Oracle Financials and Procurement Cloud ERP (Fusion / R13) - replacing legacy JD Edwards general ledger and Oracle Web Centre based procurement systems. As part of the CFP implementation, the finance ledger Chart of Accounts was reviewed and fundamentally redesigned. The current Chart of Accounts segment values, descriptions and hierarchies are mastered and maintained using Oracle DRM, supported by workflow approval processes using K2. In addition, some of the legacy chart of account values are also required to be maintained, along with supporting mappings. The ongoing support and maintenance of this dataset is critical, not only to Finance processes and reporting - both internal and external - but across the entire FIL enterprise, with many other business areas using these values and hierarchies to drive reporting. You will be working closely with CFO business to understand, validate and action change requests in a structured way, working to clear month end timetables, and considering the impact on related datasets and processes such as cross validations rules, and allocations rules.
