Data Entry Executive

Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Entry Operator to join our team. The Data Entry Operator will be responsible for accurately and efficiently entering, updating, and maintaining data records related to laboratory testing, certification, and compliance documentation as required by the Directorate General of Shipping (DG Shipping), Government of India. The role ensures that all data is captured as per statutory regulations and laboratory quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Accurately input test results, seafarer medical records, and other relevant data into the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) or approved database.
• Ensure all data entries comply with DG Shipping guidelines, ISO/IEC 17025 (if applicable), and internal SOPs.
• Maintain confidentiality and integrity of sensitive data such as medical reports and test results.
• Generate and verify certificates, reports, and documents for submission to seafarers, shipping companies, or DG Shipping as required.
• Review data for deficiencies or errors, correct any incompatibilities, and check output for accuracy.
• Coordinate with laboratory technicians, doctors, and administrative staff to ensure timely and accurate documentation.
• Ensure timely backup and secure storage of all digital and hardcopy records.
• Assist during DG Shipping audits or inspections by retrieving required data and records.
• Follow data protection and confidentiality policies as per legal and organizational standards.

Skills

• Minimum 10+2 or graduate in any discipline (preferably with computer training).
• Proven experience in data entry, preferably in a medical, laboratory, or regulatory environment.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word), database management software, and typing speed of at least 40 WPM.
• Understanding of DG Shipping documentation standards is preferred.
• High attention to detail and ability to work with accuracy under time constraints.
• Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.

Desirable

• Experience working in a DG Shipping-approved medical or testing laboratory.
• Familiarity with maritime industry standards and seafarer medical examination protocols.

Pay: ₹12,033.59 - ₹15,000.00 per month
