Description
As a Data Engineer at Tanla, you will be responsible for developing, deploying, monitoring, and maintaining ETL Jobs and all data engineering and pipeline activities. Your expertise in SQL queries and DB solutions will be crucial for designing and constructing enterprise procedure constructs. Here is a breakdown of your key responsibilities: - Design and construct enterprise procedure constructs using any ETL tool, preferably PentahoDI - Provide accurate work estimates and manage efforts across multiple lines of work - Design and develop exception handling and data cleansing/standardization procedures - Gather requirements from various stakeholders related to ETL automation - Design and create data extraction, transformation, and load functions - Perform data modeling of complex large data sets - Test and validate all data flows and prepare ETL processes according to business requirements - Incorporate business requirements into design specifications - Utilize latest data engineering and pipeline solutions via pyspark/Apache iceberg/Apache airflow - Provide solutions in DB maintenance activities such as Installation, Backup, Purging, and Data Retention Qualifications and Experience: - B.E./B.Tech/MCA - 10 years of experience in designing and developing large-scale enterprise ETL solutions - Experience in any ETL tool, primarily PentahoDI - Good knowledge and experience in any database and writing SQL queries Knowledge and Skills: - Experience in full lifecycle software development and production support for DWH systems - Data analysis, modeling, and design specific to a DWH/BI environment - Exposure to ETL packages and job development using SPOON - Scheduling Pentaho ETL Jobs in crontab (i.e. Kitchen) - Exposure to Hadoop, Hive, PIG, SQL scripting, data loading tools like Flume, Sqoop, workflow/schedulers like Oozie - Knowledge of migrating dataflows into Big Data platforms - Experience in any open-source BI will be an added advantage Why join us - Impactful Work: Play a pivotal role in safeguarding Tanla's assets, data, and reputation in the industry - Tremendous Growth Opportunities: Be part of a rapidly growing company in the telecom and CPaaS space, with opportunities for professional development - Innovative Environment: Work alongside a world-class team in a challenging and fun environment where innovation is celebrated Tanla is an equal opportunity employer that champions diversity and is committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
