Data Engineer

Role & responsibilities

7+ years of experience managing and deploying commercial software products

Advanced Linux knowledge

Strong understanding of triaging data & performance issues and how to resolve them while demonstrating a strong sense of urgency

Independent thinker able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

Proven excellence with Scala, Python, Spark/PySpark and scripting languages

Ability to manage multiple projects and initiatives in parallel

Proven experience managing solutions on GCP or AWS utilizing a broad set of the services available

Proven experience working on large-scale, distributed systems

Demonstrated growth mindset with a commitment to continuous learning, professional development, mentoring, and knowledge sharing.

Demonstrated experience using AI tools such as Copilot, Cursor, Gemini, or Claude to improve software development, troubleshooting, automation, and engineering productivity.

SDLC-tooling experience with Maven, Github, Jenkins, Terraform
