Data Engineer / ETL Developer

Key Responsibilities

• Data Mapping

  : Analyze source and target systems to create detailed data mapping documents that define transformations and business rules.

• ETL Development

  : Design and develop efficient, scalable ETL solutions using [mention tools, e.g., Informatica, Talend, SQL, Python, etc.].

• Unit Testing

  : Perform unit testing to ensure the accuracy and quality of ETL code and transformations.

• System Integration Testing (SIT)

  : Collaborate with QA teams to execute SIT and resolve data-related defects.

• User Acceptance Testing (UAT)

  : Assist business users during UAT by preparing test data, executing scenarios, and addressing feedback.

• Production Deployment

  : Coordinate and support deployment of ETL jobs and data pipelines into production environments with minimal downtime.

• Job Scheduling

  : Set up and manage ETL job scheduling and monitoring using tools like [Control-M, Apache Airflow, Autosys, etc.].

• History Data Loading

  : Design and implement strategies to load and validate historical data during initial loads or migration activities.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend, DataStage, etc.)
  
• Strong SQL and data analysis skills
  
• Experience in data warehousing and relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, Snowflake)
  
• Familiarity with job scheduling tools
  
• Understanding of data modeling and data integration best practices
  
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)
  
• Scripting knowledge (e.g., Python, Shell)
  
• Agile/Scrum experience
