The Digital & Innovation group at USP is currently seeking a Data Engineer skilled in Data Modelling and Data Transformation to develop innovative Data Products. The ideal candidate will harness the power of data to communicate insights and create a unified experience across the ecosystem. In this role, you will contribute to USP's public health mission by facilitating equitable access to high-quality, safe medicine and improving global health through public standards and related programs. Additionally, as part of the commitment to professional development, USP invests in inclusive management styles and competencies necessary for a productive work environment. Key Responsibilities: - Utilize data collection and storing techniques to manage data effectively in a scalable environment. - Continuously review and enhance systems based on data governance principles and data quality rules. - Derive meaningful insights using analytical tools like Tableau, Looker, and Power BI to drive relevant business decisions. - Work with ML models designed by data scientists to capture AI use cases and deliver high-quality AI-based programs. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g. Engineering, Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics) or equivalent experience. - Minimum 3-6 years of experience as a Data Engineer with proficiency in big data technologies such as Azure Data Lake, PySpark, AWS Redshift, etc. - Experience in implementing complex ETL pipelines, Agile Development, job orchestration, and AI/ML concepts. - Proficiency in analytical tools, data quality management, and security models. - Strong working knowledge of Python and ability to communicate technical issues to non-technical audiences. Desired Preferences: - Experience in scientific chemistry nomenclature or life sciences. - Exposure to pharmaceutical datasets and knowledge graphs. - Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences. - Strong decision-making skills and effective communication abilities.
