Data Engineer

**Job Description:** As a Data Engineer, you will play a crucial role in handling data engineering tasks for our clients. Your responsibilities will include: - Understanding client requirements and designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines. - Developing and enhancing DBT models, tests, documentation, and data lineage. - Integrating data sources using Fivetran, automating workflows, and ensuring smooth data ingestion. - Monitoring, validating, and improving data accuracy, data quality, and transformation logic. - Building and maintaining Looker dashboards, Explores, Views, and LookML models. - Maintaining existing reports and creating new analytical dashboards using Looker or Power BI. - Communicating effectively with clients regarding issues, clarifications, and enhancements. - Following modern data engineering best practices and maintaining clean, modular code. - Troubleshooting data issues across ingestion, transformation, and reporting layers. **Qualifications Required:** - Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field. - Minimum 4-5 years of experience in Data Engineering. - Proficiency in DBT (Data Build Tool), Looker (LookML development & dashboards), Python scripting, Fivetran, and expertise in databases such as Postgres, MongoDB, MySQL, BigQuery. - Strong knowledge of SQL, data mapping, data transformations, and data loading. - Experience with visualization tools like Looker and Power BI. - Ability to multitask and manage multiple client requirements. - Strong communication skills in US English (reading, writing, & speaking). - Positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward clients and team members. - Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. - Must be based in Gujarat with preferred cities being Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, Vadodara, or Surat. - Eagerness to collaborate with clients and developers to drive overall client satisfaction.
