Data Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance data pipelines and streaming systems using

  Java

  and

  Apache Kafka

  .
• Build and manage reliable data ingestion processes from diverse data sources.
  
• Work closely with Data Scientists, Analysts, and other Engineers to integrate and optimize data workflows.
  
• Implement data quality, monitoring, and alerting solutions.
  
• Ensure robust data governance, security, and compliance standards.
  
• Optimize data systems for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
  
• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and contribute to best practices.
  

Required Skills & Experience:

• Minimum

  5 years

  of experience in

  Data Engineering

  or related backend roles.
• Strong programming experience with

  Java

  (mandatory).
• Expertise in working with

  Apache Kafka

  for real-time streaming and event-driven architectures.
• Proficiency in building ETL/ELT pipelines and handling large volumes of data.
  
• Experience with data storage systems such as

  HDFS

  ,

  Hive

  ,

  HBase

  ,

  Cassandra

  , or

  PostgreSQL

  .
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) is a plus.
  
• Good understanding of distributed systems, data partitioning, and scalability challenges.
  
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and in a team.
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  
• Experience with other streaming technologies like

  Apache Flink

  ,

  Spark Streaming

  , or

  Kafka Streams

  is a plus.
• Exposure to containerization tools like

  Docker

  and orchestration platforms like

  Kubernetes
