Job Description

As a Database DevOps and Management professional at Siemens, you will play a crucial role in designing and building complex data models. Your responsibilities will include being the administrator of a productive PostgreSQL database, facilitating data modelling and restructuring of both new and existing systems, as well as optimizing and scaling database performance. Additionally, you will be involved in the design and implementation of new functions such as data catalog and monitoring systems, along with the maintenance and implementation of DevOps solutions including versioning and CI/CD. For IoT Data Processing, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining data transformation scripts for cloud and on-premise solutions, implementing scalable IoT data processing pipelines, integrating new data sources, and ensuring data quality and monitoring. In terms of System Architecture & Development, you will be tasked with maintaining and optimizing AWS Lambda Functions, collaborating with external developers on connectivity solutions, and working on Data Engineering for Dashboard Development. Furthermore, your role will involve Data Governance & Quality tasks such as developing and maintaining a data quality solution in collaboration with central IT, implementing systems to monitor data quality and performance, and managing Data Archiving Processes to ensure data consistency and reliability. To excel in this role, you should possess strong knowledge of SQL and PostgreSQL, experience with Python, familiarity with AWS especially Lambda, CI/CD Pipeline Knowledge, an understanding of IoT architectures and data processing, and ideally knowledge of Snowflake & DBT, Kafka. Soft competences required include initiative and curiosity about IoT data environments, a strong interest in data automation, the ability to engage in technical discussions, and excellent communication skills with stakeholders. An independent working style is crucial for success in this position.
