Data Engineer

Job Role And Responsibilities -

• Translate business requirements into specifications that will be used to drive data store / data warehouse / data mart design and configuration
• Enhancing data collection procedures to include information that is relevant for building analytic systems
• Model data in order to create reporting infrastructure /dashboards for business process management and data mining.
• Extensive use of SQL and RDBMS systems (viz. reading & interpreting schema documents for writing & optimization of queries to better their performance, automating reports using Stored procedures, Manage import & export of data from data warehouse, User management to provide access levels, Creating triggers and events etc.)
• Automate Reports and Visualization dashboards through SQL suite / Other Tools
• Processing, Cleansing, and Verifying the integrity of data used for analysis
• Automation of reports using VBA programming in EXCEL / ACCESS

Candidate Requirements:

• Minimum 3+ years of experience in data engineering or a similar role involving RDBMS data management and automation
• Proven ability to manage large, complex, and multi-dimensional datasets
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Ability to multitask and handle diverse data extraction, transformation, and management requirements
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams Must have hands-on experience with:
• Proficiency in MS SQL Server is mandatory, including hands-on experience with SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services) and SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services).
• Hands-on experience with Stored Procedures, Triggers, and SQL Jobs is required.
• ETL processes and tools
• Data modeling and schema design for relational databases
• Performance tuning and troubleshooting of SQL Server or other RDBMS
• Working with large datasets and complex joins
• Exposure to data governance and data quality practices Working knowledge or hands-on experience with:
• Python for data manipulation and scripting
• MSBI tools for business intelligence workflows
• Experience with gateway configuration and data refresh in Power BI is an advantage
• VBA programming for automation and report generation in MS Excel / MS Access is a plus
