Job Description

As Data Engineer at IBM you will harness the power of data to unveil captivating stories and intricate patterns. You'll contribute to data gathering, storage, and both batch and real-time processing.

Collaborating closely with diverse teams, you'll play an important role in deciding the most suitable data management systems and identifying the crucial data required for insightful analysis. As a Data Engineer, you'll tackle obstacles related to database integration and untangle complex, unstructured data sets.

Your primary responsibilities include:

Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and visualizations in Tableau to meet business requirements.

Ensure dashboards are visually compelling and user-friendly, while effectively communicating insights

Connect to various data sources (e.g., SQL databases, Excel, APIs, cloud-based data, etc.) and extract data for analysis.

Perform data blending and ensure data accuracy when integrating multiple data sources.

Optimize dashboards for performance and speed by reducing load times and improving visual efficiency.

Create calculated fields, table calculations, and dynamic filters to support data analysis and visualization.

Continuously maintain and update Tableau workbooks and dashboards to reflect new business requirements.

Work closely with business users to understand reporting needs and translate them into effective Tableau solutions

Required education Bachelor's Degree Preferred education Master's Degree Required technical and professional expertise

Strong ability to write complex queries for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.

Skilled in optimizing query performance and ensuring data integrity.

Hands-on experience in designing interactive dashboards and visualizations using Tableau.

Expert in Tableau calculations, parameters, filters, and dashboard action

Experience in using DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) for calculations and KPIs

Preferred technical and professional experience

Strong Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills

Skilled in handling messy or incomplete data and transforming it into usable formats

Comfortable working with cross-functional teams including business stakeholders, data engineers, and developers
