Data engineer and BI

As a Data Engineer and BI in this long-term contract role, you will be responsible for various tasks including data management, system integration, technical configuration & development, reporting & analytics. Your must-have skills include proficiency in HRIS module: Workday, as well as a skill set comprising Python, SQL, AWS, Power BI, and Tableau. Your key responsibilities will include: - Developing data mapping specifications and transformation rules - Performing data cleansing, validation, and reconciliation activities - Creating and executing data conversion scripts and processes - Documenting data models, mappings, and migration procedures - Configuring integrations between Workday and third-party applications - Developing integration specifications and technical designs - Troubleshooting integration issues and implementing solutions - Monitoring integration performance and implementing optimizations - Designing and implementing Snowflake data models optimized for HR analytics - Creating and maintaining Snowflake objects like tables, views, and stored procedures - Developing SQL transformations within Snowflake for reporting requirements - Configuring Workday modules according to design specifications - Building and maintaining business processes, security configurations, and reports - Developing custom calculations, rules, and business logic - Creating and maintaining configuration workbooks and technical documentation - Participating in system testing, including unit, integration, and regression testing - Developing reporting solutions using Snowflake as the data source - Creating data visualization dashboards connected to Snowflake - Building self-service reporting capabilities for HR and business users - Designing and implementing metrics and KPIs for HR analytics - Supporting data analysis needs throughout the implementation lifecycle You should have: - 3+ years of experience in HRIS implementation, data management, or system integration - 2+ years of hands-on experience with Workday/Greenhouse data conversion, integration, or reporting - Experience with Snowflake or similar cloud data warehouse platforms - Experience with architecting or working with ELT technologies (such as DBT) and data architectures - Strong SQL skills and experience with data transformation tools - Experience with ETL processes and data validation techniques - Understanding of HR data structures and relationships - Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities - Knowledge of programming languages (Python etc.) - Experience with data visualization tools - Understanding of API integration patterns and technologies - Experience with agile development methodologies It is important to note that the job description also includes a mention of a SENIOR EMAIL SECURITY ENGINEER, however, this role does not fall under the Data Engineer and BI position.,
