Job Description

You will be part of the Data Analytics and AI Solutions (DAAI) program within the Mastercard Services team. As a Data Engineer-2, your main responsibility will be to lead the technical design and development of an Analytic Foundation, which includes a suite of commercialized analytical capabilities and a comprehensive data platform. You will work in a small, flexible team where every member contributes to designing, building, and testing features. Your work will range from building UIs to designing data models and architecting data flows. - Play a significant role in implementing complex features - Push the boundaries of analytics and scalable applications - Build and maintain analytics and data models for performant products - Ensure high-quality code base by writing and reviewing well-tested code - Mentor junior engineers and teammates - Drive innovative improvements to team development processes - Collaborate with Product Managers and Customer Experience Designers to understand user needs and develop new modules and features - Work with exceptional peers across teams - 4+ years of data engineering experience in an agile production environment - Experience leading the design and implementation of complex features in full-stack applications - Ability to collaborate with business, data management, and technical teams - Proficiency in Python or Scala, Spark, Hadoop platforms & tools, SQL - Experience in leveraging open source tools, predictive analytics, machine learning, Advanced Statistics - Experience in building and deploying data-driven applications and data processing workflows - Experience in cloud technologies like Databricks, AWS, Azure - Strong technologist with a track record of learning new technologies - Customer-centric development approach - Passion for analytical and quantitative problem-solving - Strong collaboration skills and experience working across roles and geographies - Motivation, creativity, self-direction, and desire to thrive in small project teams - Superior academic record with a degree in Computer Science or related field - Strong written and verbal English communication skills,
