About this role: Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Risk Analytics Consultant In this role, you will: Lead complex initiatives related to business analysis and modeling, including those that are cross functional, with broad impact, and act as key participant in data aggregation, monitoring, and reporting of stress testing and portfolio analysis for Risk Analytics Review and analyze complex programing models to extract data and manipulate databases to provide statistical and financial modeling specific to businesses supported Manage the roll out of pilot programs developed as a result of programmed models for supported businesses and product line Make decisions in complex product strategies, data modeling, and risk exposure, requiring solid understanding of business unit projects and regulatory responses, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements that influence and lead Analytic and Reporting to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives Collaborate and consult with peers, less experienced to more experienced managers, to resolve production, project, and regulatory issues, and achieve risk analysts, and common modeling goals Lead projects, teams, and mentor Required Qualifications: 5+ years of Risk Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education Desired Qualifications Knowledge and understanding of Commercial/Consumer Lending practices, policies, and procedures. Knowledge and understanding of the key factors impacting credit offerings, including credit risks and regulatory requirements. Understanding of risk management practices, extensive knowledge of financial data Demonstrated proficient SQL experience. Demonstrated experience leading projects. Proficient experience in identifying and evaluating data trends, isolating root cause, and providing swift/thorough resolution. Strong project management skills with ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment. Strong ability to develop partnerships and collaborate with other business and functional area. Strong communication, interpersonal and leadership abilities. Job Expectation : Masters/Bachelors degree in a quantitative field such as applied mathematics, statistics, engineering, finance, economics, econometrics or computer sciences Relevant experience in the Banking & Financial Services Industry domain. Relevant experience creating artifacts such as procedure documents, flow charts, and control evidence. Relevant years of experience in SAS & SQL and one of the visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau. Relevant years of Risk experience. Relevant years of experience in Data Quality/Data Defects/Data Governance Relevant years of experience with applying and executing, reviewing controls or assurance with business processes. Proven experience effectively prioritizing workload to meet deadlines and work objectives. Proven ability to collaborate effectively with business and technical subject matter experts. Strong analytics skills and comprehensive understanding of financial services products and risk drivers Ability to lead project teams and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.

Role & responsibilities Participate in less complex analysis to identify and remediate data quality or integrity issues and to identify and remediate process or control gaps Adhere to data governance standards and procedures Identify data quality metrics and execute data quality audits to benchmark the state of data quality Design and monitor data governance, data quality and metadata policies, standards, tools, processes, or procedures to ensure data control and remediation for companywide data management functions Support communications with basic documentation related to requirements, design decisions, issue closure, or remediation updates Support issue remediation by performing medium risk data profiling, data or business analysis, and data mapping as part of root cause or impact analysis Provide support to regulatory analysis and reporting requirements Recommend plans for the development and implementation of initiatives that assess the quality of new data sources Work with business and technology partners or subject matter professionals to document or maintain business or technical metadata about systems, business or data elements, or data-related controls Consult with clients to assess the current state of data quality within area of assigned responsibility Desired Qualifications: Experience in BSA-AML regulatory requirements and industry practices Highly proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, data visualization and reporting Experience in Data Quality Assurance and data governance. Technical skills in python, SQL and other data analysis tools will be a plus bit not mandatory Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and program management skills Job Expectations: Financial Crimes (BSA-AML, Sanctions, Anti-Bribery/Corruption) experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education Defect management: Experience in executing data defects co-ordination and monitoring including performing weekly monitoring of open defects, supporting defect intake and submission tollgate activities and identifying off track defects and elevating them to Program oversight management Issues review and oversight: Performing monthly review of new data-flagged issues to determine whether a defect is warranted and provide recommendation to Program oversight management. Prior experience in working with Alteryx Designer writing data quality rules and data profiling. Experience in documenting key data sources, data elements as well as in identifying data controls for in-scope processes that support broader program elements. Metrics and reporting: Developing metric-based reporting covering all applicable Program areas and publishing monthly/quarterly/annual reporting to management Responsible for performing data profiling, data analysis, and data mapping to support issue remediation and root cause analysis
