ISP Data Coordinator – ESG
Role Profile
Location: Bangalore, India
Purpose of Role
The Data Coordinator – ESG will play a pivotal role in ensuring ISP meets its mandatory greenhouse gas (GHG) accounting and reporting obligations, while also driving decarbonisation efforts through data-led insights and maintaining compliance with evolving global ESG regulations.
This role combines responsibility for end-to-end energy and emissions data management with the mapping and monitoring of ESG-related reporting requirements across ISP’s 25-country footprint. The position will ensure accurate and complete data flows, support regulatory readiness, and contribute to ESG risk assessments, reporting, and strategic planning.
Working closely with the Group Sustainability Manager, Group Head of ESG, and other internal stakeholders, the role will also act as the primary contact for ISP’s external carbon accounting software provider,

Key Responsibilities
Data Management & Carbon Accounting-
Lead the execution of energy and carbon emissions data collection, verification, and quality control across all ISP schools.

Set up and manage comprehensive data flows to capture emissions from all relevant sources within each school.

Serve as the primary liaison for Minimum (ISP’s carbon accounting software provider), managing strategic direction, KPIs, data flows, and troubleshooting to ensure system accuracy and functionality.

Maintain and actively update a detailed database including energy sources, user accounts, data submitters, reviewers, occupancy numbers, and relevant metadata for each school in the portfolio.

Manage the onboarding process of new schools into the data collection system, ensuring accurate data capture and integration.

Develop, update, and deliver user guides and training to internal teams to ensure efficient and accurate energy data submission into Minimum.

Coordinate ongoing actions, deliverables, and deadlines internally and with Minimum to meet agreed data completeness targets.

Proactively review data inputs and workflows to identify and resolve errors or data gaps, collaborating closely with internal stakeholders and external partners.

Support preparation, quality assurance, and synthesis of data for internal and external ESG reporting.
Regulatory Mapping & Compliance-
Conduct a comprehensive scan and mapping of ESG/non-financial reporting requirements across all ISP countries, covering frameworks such as CSRD, NFRD, ISSB, GRI, TCFD, and CSDDD.

Identify and interpret country-specific obligations relevant to ISP’s operations and footprint.

Assess ISP’s current data collection and reporting capabilities to identify gaps and recommend improvements.

Develop strategic roadmaps for regulatory compliance and integration of ESG reporting standards into ISP’s data and reporting systems.

Maintain a framework for ongoing monitoring of regulatory changes and emerging standards, providing timely updates and impact assessments to senior leadership.
Risk Management & Strategic Support-
Support climate risk assessment and development of mitigation plans.

Assist in ESG ratings submissions and investor disclosures by ensuring data accuracy and comprehensive narrative support.

Collaborate with Finance, Internal Audit, Property, and other teams to develop internal controls and risk management practices related to ESG data.

Prepare presentations and reports to communicate insights and regulatory impacts to various internal audiences.
Skills, Qualifications and Experience
Education & Background-
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, sustainability, environmental science, data science, or related field; Master’s preferred.

3–5+ years of experience in ESG data coordination, sustainability reporting, or regulatory compliance roles.

Experience with SaaS platforms for data management (preferably Minimum or similar).
Technical Skills-
Proficient in quantitative and qualitative data analysis, data pipeline management, and quality control processes.

Strong knowledge of ESG frameworks and regulations (CSRD, ISSB, GRI, TCFD, etc.) and their application in multinational organizations.
Communication & Collaboration-
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to tailor messages for technical and non-technical audiences.

Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional, multi-regional teams.
