The role requires you to coordinate and participate in various nuclear medicine procedures while operating radiation detection and measurement instrumentation. You will be responsible for calibrating and preparing radiopharmaceutical materials for patient administration, ensuring their quality, route of administration, and dosage accuracy. Your duties will include maintaining the proper functioning of nuclear medicine equipment, calibrating instruments, and conducting periodic quality assurance and maintenance checks. In addition, you will be expected to calculate and evaluate data from patient studies and radioactive decay, review recorded images for technical quality, and process computerized image data. It will be your responsibility to care for the physical and psychological needs of patients during examinations, including initiating life support measures if necessary, and instructing patients on post-procedure precautions. You will also need to manage inventory, record radiopharmaceutical activities, prevent radioactivity spillage or contamination, and report any mishaps or incidents to the Radiation Safety Officer (RSO) and nuclear medicine physician. Assisting the RSO in maintaining records of inventory, waste disposal, and safety matters is also part of the role. Maintaining professional conduct, effective communication skills, and patient confidentiality are essential aspects of this position. You will be required to contribute to the Quality Initiative Improvement and protocols of the department and organization.,
