Role Overview: BCG Expand is seeking a Lead Analyst to support and drive a growing book of work aligned with the Retail Banking sector in the REBEX team. As the Lead Analyst, you will contribute to revenue growth, innovation, and successful project completion within your domain, showcasing experience and flexibility. Your role will involve managing client projects in the region, engaging in strategic discussions with clients, including C-suite executives, and providing insights and analysis to guide strategic decisions. We are looking for a proactive, curious, and diligent individual to play a key role in the Retail Banking Practice Area. Key Responsibilities: - Lead end-to-end delivery of client projects, involving data collection, analysis, and synthesis of qualitative and quantitative datasets to develop strategic insights - Interpret market and industry trends to identify patterns, extract insights, and highlight emerging opportunities - Conduct effective client and internal meetings, addressing queries using data and content expertise - Tailor insight-driven solutions to client needs through rigorous analysis, customized reports, or presentations - Collaborate with BCG case teams, ensuring client satisfaction and timely project delivery - Drive new ideas, work independently with limited guidance, and oversee and line-manage junior team members - Collaborate with colleagues to sustain and grow the programs membership base Qualification Required: - Strong Masters degree, preferably in an analytical or quantitative subject - 5+ years of work experience, ideally in benchmarking, research, or business analysis - Some sector experience in financial services, consultancy, or market research preferred (retail banking experience would be advantageous) Technical Skills: - Proficiency in Advanced MS Office skills, especially Excel and PowerPoint - Knowledge in Alteryx, Python, Tableau, or PowerBI is helpful - Ability to analyze, interpret, evaluate, and model data to extract insights - Excellent analytical, rational thinking, and problem-solving abilities - Attention to detail and knowledge of financial services terminology and concepts Non-Technical Skills: - Engaging presentation and storytelling skills - Project management skills, including time management and prioritization - Ability to handle data and information confidentially - Effective verbal and written communication - Entrepreneurial, creative, and collaborative mindset with ownership and initiative Additional Company Details: BCG Expand is a specialist firm providing unique data-driven business intelligence to senior executives in leading financial services firms.
