Key Responsibilities
Required Qualifications
- Risk Identification and Assessment
- Analyze business processes to identify potential risks and control gaps.
- Document findings and communicate risk areas to relevant stakeholders.
- Test Plan Development
- Draft comprehensive test plans tailored to specific audit objectives and business processes.
- Ensure test plans are aligned with regulatory requirements and organizational standards.
- Process Documentation
- Develop detailed walkthrough documents to illustrate process flows and control points.
- Facilitate process understanding for audit teams and stakeholders.
- Document Request Management
- Prepare and manage document request lists to support audit activities.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure timely receipt of required documentation.
- Research and Analysis
- Conduct in-depth research on assigned topics to support audit procedures and business insights.
- Summarize findings in clear, actionable reports.
- Analytics Test Planning
- Create analytics-focused test plans to identify anomalies, trends, and control weaknesses.
- Collaborate with audit teams to integrate analytics into audit methodology.
- Data Source Identification
- Identify and validate appropriate data sources for analysis and testing.
- Ensure data integrity and relevance to audit objectives.
- SQL Query Execution
- Develop and execute clear, efficient SQL queries to extract and analyze data.
- Interpret query results to support audit findings and recommendations.
- Workpaper Documentation
- Prepare concise and accurate workpapers to document audit procedures, evidence, and conclusions.
- Maintain compliance with internal documentation standards.
- Analytics Examples and Follow-up
- Provide detailed analytics examples and follow-up actions to Points of Contact (POCs).
- Support stakeholders in understanding and leveraging analytics outcomes.
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Demonstrate flexibility in connecting with stakeholders as needed, including outside standard business hours.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration throughout the audit process.
- Audit Progress Reporting
- Provide continuous updates on audit progress, key milestones, and emerging issues.
- Ensure transparency and timely communication with audit leadership and stakeholders.
- Automation and Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities to automate repetitive audit tasks and data analysis processes.
- Implement automation solutions using relevant tools and technologies to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- AI/ML and Generative AI Integration
- Apply AI/ML techniques and generative AI models to support advanced analytics, anomaly detection, and predictive insights in audit engagements.
- Collaborate with technical teams to develop, deploy, and maintain AI-driven audit solutions.
- Stay updated on emerging trends in AI/ML and Gen AI to recommend innovative approaches for audit and controls testing.
- Bachelor's / Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 24 years of experience in Data Analytics and Controls Testing within a professional services or audit environment.
- Hands-on experience with SQL, Java, and Python for data analysis and process automation.
- Proven ability to interpret backend data pipelines and understand complex business processes.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data observations into actionable business insights.
- Experience in preparing concise documentation for final workpapers and audit deliverables.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Practical experience in designing and implementing automation solutions for audit or data analysis processes.
- Demonstrated proficiency in applying AI/ML techniques and working with generative AI models (e.g., large language models, AI-powered analytics tools) in audit, data analytics, or related fields.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional certifications in data analytics, audit, automation, or AI/ML (e.g., CISA, CPA, CA, Data Analytics, AI/ML certifications).
- Experience in developing analytics-driven audit methodologies and test plans.
- Familiarity with audit management tools, data visualization platforms, and automation frameworks (e.g., RPA, AI/ML libraries).
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Exposure to Gen AI technologies and their application in business process improvement or audit analytics.
Note:
Candidates must be willing to work night shifts and demonstrate flexibility in stakeholder engagement across global time zones.
