Job description Greetings from Nalanda Educational Institution Position - Western Dance Teacher Location - Benz Circle, Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh We are seeking an energetic and skilled Western Dance Teacher to join our faculty. The ideal candidate will be proficient in multiple Western dance styles, including Hip-Hop, Jazz, Contemporary, and Freestyle, and will create an engaging and inspiring learning environment for students of all skill levels. Key Responsibilities Plan and conduct structured dance lessons for students across different age groups. Teach and choreograph Western dance routines for school events, performances, and competitions. Develop students' technical skills, rhythm, coordination, and stage presence. Encourage self-expression and creativity through dance activities. Prepare students for stage performances, annual day celebrations, and inter-school competitions. Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment while maintaining discipline and engagement. Stay updated with the latest dance trends and incorporate them into lessons. Collaborate with other teachers for interdisciplinary projects and cultural programs. Participate in school activities, workshops, and professional development programs. Requirements Degree or certification in Dance, Performing Arts, or a related field (preferred). Minimum 3+ years of experience in teaching Western dance to children. Proficiency in multiple dance styles such as Hip-Hop, Jazz, Contemporary, and Freestyle. Strong choreography skills and experience in stage performances. Excellent communication, patience, and ability to work with students of all skill levels. Passion for dance education and the ability to create an engaging and energetic class atmosphere.
