You will be part of a 24/7 IT backup operations team as a Commvault Engineer. Your primary responsibility will involve overseeing Backup related processes and taking a leadership role in resolving issues and maintaining managed Commvault operations. Communication between technical teams, customers, and internal organization will be key to fulfilling customer needs and ensuring customer satisfaction. Your tasks will include maintaining complex Backup Solutions such as Virtual libraries, Disk to Disk Backup systems, physical Tape Libraries, OS, Backup Software, Switch, SAN, or Library components. Supporting and troubleshooting backup, recovery, and archiving in a large and widely distributed environment will be part of your routine. You will analyze daily backup failures, identify root causes, and systematically resolve issues to ensure a high Backup success rate. Additionally, you will provide regular status and progress reports for backup environment related activities, implement best practices for backup solutions, ensure adequate storage capacity, update documentation for backup procedures, solutions, and licensing, and perform configuration changes as per design and build.
