Deputy Vice President Cyber Defense & Intelligence Basic Qualifications (Mandatory) BE/ BTech degree in any discipline from a University/Institution/Board recognized by Govt. of India / approved by Govt. Regulatory bodies OR MCA / ME / MTech / MSc in any discipline from a recognized University/Institution/Board. Preferred Qualifications Advanced degree in Cybersecurity or Information Technology. Preferred Certifications: CISSP, CISM, CISA, CCSP, PMP, MBA (Technology Management). Experience Mandatory: 12+ years of overall professional experience with at least 810 years in Cyber Defense & Intelligence roles. Preferred: Hands-on experience in cybersecurity tools and practices related to: Forensics Malware Analysis Threat Hunting Incident Response Threat Intelligence (assimilation/creation) Prior roles in IT companies, BFSI institutions, government cybersecurity setups, consulting firms, or innovation hubs. Exposure to Information Security, Cyber Policy, Innovation, Cyber Defense, or allied domains. Experience in setting up or working in a Centre of Excellence (CoE). Role & Responsibilities Lead the organizations cyber defense and intelligence strategy , ensuring strong resilience against evolving threats. Monitor, detect, analyze, and respond to advanced cyber threats using intelligence-driven approaches. Oversee forensic investigations, malware analysis, and incident response activities to identify root causes and mitigation plans. Utilize threat intelligence platforms to proactively identify and assess emerging threats, attack vectors, and vulnerabilities. Communicate cyber risks, incidents, and mitigation strategies effectively with senior management, business units, regulators, and external stakeholders. Define and present reports, dashboards, and recommendations to enable decision-making and improve defense posture. Establish and manage threat-hunting frameworks, incident playbooks, and intelligence-sharing processes. Implement and optimize security technologies (firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, EDR, SOAR, etc.) for effective cyber defense. Ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards, regulatory guidelines, and industry best practices. Drive continuous improvement in cyber defense capabilities and contribute to the growth of the Cybersecurity Centre of Excellence. Mentor and lead a team of cybersecurity professionals, fostering a culture of innovation, vigilance, and accountability. Preferred Candidate Profile Proven track record in managing cybersecurity incidents, investigations, and intelligence programs. Strong technical expertise across cybersecurity domains (defense, intelligence, forensics, risk management). Proficiency in SIEM, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, forensics, and threat intelligence platforms. Deep understanding of cybersecurity principles, frameworks, standards, and regulatory landscapes. Ability to assess risks, analyze complex security issues, and design robust mitigation strategies. Demonstrated capability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multi-stakeholder environments. Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills to engage with executives, regulators, and technical teams. Strategic thinker with a focus on innovation, CoE development, and emerging technologies.
