Role Overview We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Automotive Cybersecurity Verification Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for verifying and validating cybersecurity requirements, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and supporting secure software and hardware development lifecycles. This role requires a strong background in automotive cybersecurity, testing methodologies, and a passion for safeguarding connected vehicles. Key Responsibilities Cybersecurity Testing: Perform security verification and validation activities, including penetration testing, fuzz testing, and vulnerability assessments on automotive systems. Develop, execute, and maintain test cases for cybersecurity controls such as secure boot, secure flashing, and secure communication. Standards Compliance: Ensure compliance with ISO/SAE 21434, UNECE R155, R156, and other automotive cybersecurity standards and regulations. Validate implementation against Threat Analysis and Risk Assessment (TARA) outcomes. Automation and Tools: Design and implement automated test scripts to enhance cybersecurity testing efficiency. Use tools like CANoe, Wireshark, and Python-based frameworks for testing and analysis. Collaboration: Work closely with development teams to identify and address cybersecurity vulnerabilities during the product lifecycle. Provide feedback to system engineers and architects for improving system-level security measures. Documentation and Reporting: Document test plans, results, and detected vulnerabilities in detail. Prepare cybersecurity verification reports for stakeholders and regulatory audits. Required Skills and Qualification Education: Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Experience: 3-7 years of experience in automotive cybersecurity testing or related roles. Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with automotive protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet, etc.). Knowledge of cryptographic principles and security testing tools. Knowledge on CS controls like IPSec, SecOC, Secure boot, Secure debug etc Familiarity with TARA methodologies and risk mitigation strategies. Certifications (Preferred): ISO 21434 Certified Cybersecurity Professional (CCSP), CEH, CISSP, or equivalent. Key Attributes Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and documentation abilities. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
